When I tell people that I went to VCU, I usually joke that before they killed it at NCAA basketball last year, the only reason that people knew about VCU was because of GWAR. In 11th grade, I was an extra in the GWAR video “Meat Sandwich.” You can see me in the stands in a purple Thrasher t-shirt as Oderous dunks on Jesus. In 1999, my band played on that same brick stage which I believe has since been demolished to make way for a new university dining hall. HAVE THEY NO SENSE OF HISTORY? PHILISTINES!
